Mnemosyne is a free multi-platform learning application that can help us create our own flashcards. We may use this program to increase our vocabulary in any subject area. This program has a simple to manage GUI, where we have the opportunity to create our personal made to measure word files. When creating words, we can add images and audio. It is also possible to import as many databases as needed from any source, as long as these databases are in the supported file formats. We can create just one big database divided into categories. This program has been designed to help us use/train/improve our memory. The exercises will assist us in memorization as the learning method. Unfortunately, this application does not provide any other type of exercises. After we have a group of words, we can start memorizing them. We must decide how well we know any given word by selecting any number on a scale of one to five. Depending on our selection, the program will select how often this word will appear until we get to know it at first glance. We have the possibility to share, export, import, and print our flashcard database.
